I love Winters

I love #Winters..
Some people think of winters as an opportunity to hide their extra body fat by putting on warm and heavy clothes and believe they can eat anything.
But you know what? These winters are best to reduce your extra fat and stay healthy.
Here are some tips to stay healthy & fit in winters:
• Add makki rotti, ragi roti, bajra roti and winter vegetables like saag, methi, spinach etc. in your diet. Seasonal and local food intake has more nutrition value.
• Fill up on soups with fiber (no dressing) and and add seeds like flax seeds and sunflower seeds.
• Non vegetarians can add salmon fish and eggs.
• Fill up on a healthy grain hot cereal or a high fiber cereal with dried fruits like almonds, walnuts , dates , peanuts and makhaney.
- Do not forget to roll pinni , panjiri and laddos in winters as a mid meal snack. ( no extra fat on tummy if you have it moderation and enjoy it to the fullest without any guilt).
-To boost immunity have ginger tulsi turmeric cinnamon "masala chai".
• Be carb smart - Carbs that satiate, like vegetables- sweet potatoes, or those with protein and fiber, like beans should be the bulk of your intake.
• Don't skip any meal. Listen your biofeedback and eat according to your appetite. Do not overeat, neither starve yourself. Listen your body requirement.
• Best time to have Vitamin D from sun. For dry skin apply few drops of coconut oil, desi ghee or almond oil daily before going to bed.
• Add 20 mins cardio or 15 mins floor excerises in your exercise regime at home if you are unable to go to gym due to winters.
So enjoy winters and say goodbye to extra fat and dry skin.
Don't play with your body. Love your body. be healthy .
