TIPS FOR A BEAUTIFUL LIFE!

• Take a 10-30 minute walk every day and while you walk, smile.
• Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day.
• When you wake up in the morning complete the following statement, “My purpose is to … today.”
• Live with the 3 E’s: Energy, Enthusiasm, Empathy, and the 3 F’s: Faith, Family, Friends.
• Spend more time with people over the age of 70 and under the age of 6.
• Dream more while you are awake.
• Try to make at least three people smile each day.
• Realize that life is a school and you are here to learn, pass all your tests. Problems are simply part of the curriculum that appear and fade away like algebra class but the lessons you learn will last a lifetime.
• Smile and laugh more. It will keep the energy vampires away.
• Life isn’t fair, but it’s still good.
• Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.
• Don’t take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
• You don’t have to win every argument. Agree to disagreements.
• Make peace with your past, so it won’t mess up the present.
• Don’t compare your life with others’. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
• Burn the candles, use the nice sheets. Don’t save it for a special occasion. Today is special.
• No one is in charge of your happiness except you.
• Forgive everyone for everything.
• What other people think of you is none of your business.
• Time heals almost everything. Give time, time.
• However good or bad a situation is, it will change.
• Your job won’t take care of you when you are sick. Your friends will stay in touch.
• Get rid of anything that isn’t useful, beautiful, or joyful.
• The best is yet to come… Believe.
• No matter how you feel, get up, dress up, and show up.
• Do the right thing!
• Call your family often.
• Each night before you go to bed complete the following statements: “I am thankful for…” – “Today I accomplished…”
• Remember that you are too blessed to be stressed.
• Enjoy the ride. Remember that this is not Disney World and you certainly don’t want a fast pass. Make the most of it and enjoy the ride.                                   

FORGIVING IS BETTER THAN REVENGE

A man came out of his home to admire his new truck.
To his puzzlement, his three-year-old son was happily hammering dents into the shiny paint of the truck.

The man ran to his son, knocked him away, and hammered the little boy’s hands into pulp as punishment.

When the father calmed down, he rushed his son to the hospital. Although the doctor tried desperately to save the crushed bones, he finally had to amputate fingers from boy’s both hands.

When the boy woke up from the surgery and saw his bandaged stubs, he innocently said, “Daddy, I’m sorry about your truck.” Then he asked, “But when are my fingers going to grow back?”

The father went home and committed suicide.
Think about this story the next time someone steps on your feet or you wish to take revenge. Think first before you lose your patience with someone u love. Trucks can be repaired. Broken Bones and hurt feelings often can’t.

Too often we fail to recognize the difference between the person and the performance. We forget that forgiveness is greater than revenge.

Moral of the Story:
People make mistakes. We are allowed to make mistakes. But the actions we take while in a rage will haunt us forever. Pause and ponder. Think before you act. Be patient. Forgive and forget. Love one and all.

Angel

Angel

An Angel is someone that protects you from danger
An Angel is someone who watches over you
Someone who sees the danger coming and pushes you out of the way before it hits you
An Angel will never let you know who they are or that they even exist
The only thing you will ever know is that you are always able to dodge a bullet
You are always saved just in the nick of time, when there was no more time left
An Angel will always be watching and waiting for the next time you are in need
And you will never need to call because your Angel is always by your side
Even when you think your Angel is gone and left your side
When in reality there is only one side for your Angel to be on and that side is yours
So, just when it seems you have been left all alone
Don’t fret or be in despair
Because your Angel is waiting in the wind listening to the beat, to the rhythm of your heart
and making sure that it never skips a beat.
Once you have been blessed with an Angel, you will always have your Angel
And once An Angel, always an Angel!

Life is like riding a bicycle

“Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving.”

A dear friend of my shared this quote with me and I think she did so for two reasons. First, my friend knows my love of bike riding. Second, I am always talking about and helping others to take action with respect to achieving their goals and dreams.

No matter what the past year was like, always remember we can’t change the past. We can, however, influence the future.

For months I have been speaking about and trying to help you achieve your goals, get you motivated to move forward and to create your action plan to get you where you want to be. I have also mentioned the heroic achievements of some of our US Olympic athletes during this past Olympic summer games. I think their achievements are a great source of inspiration and motivation for us all!

No matter what has happened in the past, you must not give up on your goals and dreams! Has this year been another challenging year for you? I can relate! Please keep this important fact in mind. No matter what the past year was like, it is in the past. While we can’t do anything to change the past, we can, however, influence the future. The key to remember is that we must constantly move forward. Don’t let obstacles prevent you from achieving your goals.

The Sunrise

It is an amazing sight
Watching the sunrise
Glorious indeed
Especially when the clouds
Cast a moving shadow
Across the canvas
Making the world peacefully come alive
A magnificent view from the farmhouse
The sky splashed with soft colours
Shades of pink, red and orange
With a backdrop of blue, patched with white
The mood bidding farewell
And the sun emerging from behind the clouds
Magic fills the air
Always leaving me with a feeling of romance
That makes time stand still
And allows me to absorb and enjoy the tranquillity
Indeed a romantic
Between myself and the sunrise
Puts a sparkle in the eye.

The Golden Rose

"Roses are red, Violets are blue

My feelings like Gold

Is forever true for you"

The words mimicked in the air

As they sat facing

The truth at the table's end

It was the end, yet a beginning

 

The lights grew dim , the radiance gleamed

A drop kissed the brimming cup

And she drank it all

True, It was a beginning.

Like the realization after a mistake

A sense of relief

rested in her heart

The mist cleared away

And she saw him slipping

into oblivion

turning into a bleak memory

Resting in tranquility

She held the golden rose

Pinned it carefully on her scarf.

"Roses are red ,Violets are blue

I wish I could be

True to you"                                   

But it was another day today

Someone sat at the tables end

Trying to read his fate

In her dancing eyes

And it was the golden rose

That gleamed in her cheeks

No, she dared not to repeat

The mistake again

This one seemed more elite

Than the last one.

“Roses are red Violets are Blue

I will try my best

To be true to you”

She said, he sighed.
